Ways to Prevent Tooth Sensitivity

At Toronto Beach Dental we are here to share a few tips to keep you smiling, pain free! Start with daily brushing! When you brush your teeth properly twice a day for at least two minutes, you can reduce the chances of tooth sensitivity. Try using a sensitivity toothpaste when brushing, which usually has lower levels of abrasives. Don’t forget to floss. You may not realize it, but flossing once a day can help reduce tooth sensitivity. Flossing helps to get rid of plaque on the gum line and keeps your teeth healthy and strong! Monitor your diet for acid and try to keep acidic foods and drinks to a minimum. The acid from foods can contribute to sensitive teeth.
