Dental Crowns (Caps) and Bridges Near You
Dental crowns and bridges are restorative treatments that address damaged and missing teeth, respectively. Your dentist will first examine your teeth and gums to determine which type of treatment is most ideal for your needs and concerns. Crowns are a great option to restore damaged teeth, and bridges replace missing teeth.
Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain crowns cover the entire surface of your tooth. They are ideal for treating damaged, weakened, or cracked teeth. Porcelain crowns are matched to the colour of your teeth to seamlessly blend in.
The Process:
Impressions of your tooth will be taken using a soft, moldable material. The impressions will then be used to create your custom-fit crown.
A temporary plastic crown will be placed over your tooth until your permanent crown is made. Our dentist will then place and adjust the crown to ensure a comfortable fit. Crowns can last for many years with good dental hygiene.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges can replace one or multiple missing teeth. A bridge is composed of three or more crowns. Typically, a pontic tooth sits in the centre to replace your tooth, while the remaining crowns “cap” your neighbouring teeth for support.
